The member States of the Latin American and Caribbean integration bloc described the White House’s actions as “immoral and illegal” in a press release issued in this capital on Wednesday evening.

The Alliance reiterated that, under the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States in violation of the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter and international law, “the United States attacks the people and Government” of the Bolivarian Republic and violates the country’s sovereignty.

ALBA-TCP insisted on its call to the international community to “demand the immediate lifting” of the unilateral coercive measures against Venezuela.

It also supported the actions conducted by the Venezuelan Government within the framework of the law to prevent the expropriation of assets.
