The presentation, at 11:00, local time, at the Covarrubias Hall of the National Theater of Cuba, will allow to listen to famous works by the renowned Cuban conductor and composer, which will be performed by soloists, among them talented young people very close to Lopez-Gavilan.

On this day, the OSNC will be conducted jointly by the honoree and maestro Daiana Garcia.

The pieces ‘Sol de batey’, by his granddaughters Adriana and Andrea Lopez-Gavilan (piano and flute); and ‘Chacona’, by Tania Hasse (violin) and Rodrigo Garcia (pianist) will be performed. Mojito con saoco’, played by the orchestra under the baton of guest conductor Daiana Garcia, will also be heard, while Lopez-Gavilan will play ‘The Night’, ‘Poem with trova and son’ and ‘Guaguancó’.
