The two-day meeting will take place at the Foreign Ministry’s headquarters to analyze the current panorama and the challenges of the international political situation in the new year.
Sanchez’s words will be followed by those of Foreign Minister, Jose Manuel Albares, who will address the results of Spain’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2024 and will set out the main lines of foreign policy for the coming years, according to official sources.
The event will conclude on Thursday, January 11, with a speech by King Felipe VI, in his capacity as head of state.
The Conference will also be attended by the Ministers of Economy, Trade and Enterprise, Carlos Cuerpo; Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu; Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska; and the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles.
Together with the directors of the Cooperation Agency and the Cervantes Institute, the meeting will also be attended by the head of the Ibero-American General Secretariat, Andres Allamand.
