“We are confident that the candidates will present interesting government programs, especially, we will follow up on our election campaign and our Party activists,” Kharitonov assured at the 148th session of the CEC.

On January 3, the CEC approved Kharitonov’s package of documents, which were reviewed by election specialists.

“The candidacy of State Duma lawmaker Nikolai Kharitonov was approved by the decision of the Communist Party Congress on December 23, 2023,” CEC representative Lyudmila Markina commented.

The Commission accepted the candidate’s nomination forms on December 27, and it registered the authorized representatives of the party organization in support of Kharitonov on December 29.

Russia will hold elections on March 15-17 to elect the head of State.

The elections will also take place in the Russian regions of Kherson, Lugansk, Donetsk, and Zaporozhye.
