“Squadron of Russian warships, in the course of patrol missions in the Black Sea waters, fired with weapons to protect civilian vessels on mercantile shipping routes,” the military institution reported.

In addition, the Ministry stated that drone detection actions were conducted at the first stage of the drill, “the ship’s artillery system destroyed a drone and neutralized unmanned vessels at the second stage.”

After the combat exercise program was completed, the crews continued their normal security operations, the Ministry stated.
