The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates denounced in a statement that the coverage provided by some countries to Israel encourages the far-right government of Benjamin Netanyahu to deepen its expansionist policies in the aforementioned territory.

On Sunday, the Israeli authorities in Jerusalem approved a controversial colonial plan known as Silicon Valley, aimed at destroying the industrial zone in the Wadi al-Jouz neighborhood of the city. The proposal also includes the establishment of a waste dump northeast of the occupied area of the metropolis.

These colonial projects are part of the strategy of ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people in Jerusalem and areas of the West Bank, the Foreign Ministry stated. The ultimate goal is Judaization and the gradual and continuous annexation of the territory, it stressed.

The Ministry considered that this policy is the other side of the crime of genocide and destruction that Israel carries out in the Gaza Strip. The ultimate goal “is to empty the land of its original citizens in application of the old Zionist plan: that (Palestine) is a land without a people for a people without a homeland,” it warned.
