The accused were arrested last Friday when they were transporting 31 bricks of cocaine in a van, in which they tried to escape when the police stopped them. The operation ended near the locality of Puntas de Valdez, in the department of San José, next to this capital.

The judge charged them with drug trafficking, criminal association and contempt of court.

Once they have served their sentences, the Argentines will be expelled to their country.
