Sources based in the area of Yarubieh near the Iraqi border informed SANA that a U.S. convoy made up of 56 tanker trucks loaded with oil, left for Iraqi territory through the illegal crossing of Mahmoudiah.

In the same context, the US occupation forces took out through the illegal border crossing of Al-Walid, a caravan of 34 trucks, containers and tankers.

Damascus recently denounced the increased plundering and smuggling of Syria’s natural wealth, particularly oil, by the US occupation, and also considered these actions as banditry that violates international law, by impoverishing the Syrian people and extending their suffering.
