“Heading to Donetsk, the southern group units -backed by aviation, artillery fire and heavy flamethrowers- managed to defeat Ukrainian troops,” military chief Vadim Astafiev stated.
According to Astafiev, the southern group units destroyed seven vehicles, a Czech-made 122-millimeter Vampire RM-70 122-millimeter multiple launch rocket system, 152-millimeter Msta-B and D-20 howitzers, propelled cannon and 122-millimeter D-30 howitzer.
