In the midst of their persistent aggression, Israeli forces twice launched projectiles with white phosphorus over Khiam, in addition to targeting the town of Rab Thaleen in the district of Marjayoun.
According to local channel Al Manar, the Israeli attack also targeted the outskirts of Al-Dhahira, Hanin, Rmeish, Yaroun, Aitaroun and Muhaybib towns.
At the same time, an Israel´s spy balloon overflew the front of the town of Rmeish in southern Lebanon.
In this context, the Lebanese Resistance (Hezbollah) attacked at dawn the Israeli base Meron as an initial response to the assassination of Saleh Al-Arouri, Deputy Head of the Hamas Political Bureau in the southern suburbs of Lebanon´s capital.
In a statement, Hezbollah announced the launching of 62 missiles over the strategic air control facility located at the top of Mount Kharmaq.
According to the Resistance, the base serves as the only administration, surveillance and air control center in the Israeli entity and there is no main alternative to it.
Plus, it is one of two main facilities in Tel Aviv; the first is Meron to the north and the second is Mitzpe Ramon to the south.
In the statement, Hezbollah stressed that the Meron base is responsible for organizing, orchestrating and managing all air operations towards Syria, Lebanon, Türkiye, Cyprus and the northern part of the Eastern Mediterranean basin.
Also, it serves as a primary center for electronic jamming actions in the aforementioned directions and is operated by a large number of elite Zionist officers and soldiers.
