In eight chapters, the author reflects on the experience by the Center for Research and Rehabilitation of Hereditary Ataxias (CIRAH), an institution he founded and directed for nearly two decades.
The book proposes, among other topics, the studies on hereditary ataxias in Cuba and its historic background in the world, as well as the experiences lived with patients and relatives, and the advice given to both for the diagnosis and control of the disease.
