India shows support and solidarity with Iran after terrorist attack

New Delhi, Jan 4 (Prensa Latina) India expressed its support and solidarity with the government and people of Iran over the terrorist attack in the city of Kerman that caused hundreds of deaths and injuries. We are shocked by the terrible bombings in the city of Kerman in Iran, the official spokesperson of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal, posted on social media.

At this difficult time, we express our solidarity with the government and people of Iran. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and the injured, the diplomat said on X. According to press reports, the attack occurred the day before near the Kerman Martyrs’ Cemetery, during a rally of thousands of people to remember the physical demise of the senior officer, commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps.

One of the blasts took place 700 meters from the tomb of the aforementioned general, victim of a drone strike in Iraq in January 2020, carried out by the U.S. Air Force.
