The Congolese government announced the release of an emergency fund estimated at four million dollars to provide aid to the victims and to overcome the damages caused in several departments.
According to the source, more than 360 villages and 36 districts are flooded, and more than 320,000 people are affected.
Reports indicate the death of at least 17 persons, while six others are still missing.
In addition to the floods, landslides are another of the dangers the Congolese are facing.
