The Angolan leader congratulated the Cuban people, government and head of state on behalf of the Executive and on his own behalf and also expressed his country’s solidarity with Cuba.

President Lourenço expressed his strong support to Cuba “in its struggle for the defense of its interests and for the continued claiming of national sovereignty, in which context we appreciate its efforts to promote progress, development and social welfare of the people.”

In the message, the Angolan president praised friendship that unites the two countries and also the joint effort made by both sides to strengthen existing bilateral cooperation relations.

“May President Díaz-Canel receive our best wishes for the health, personal well-being and prosperity of the Cuban people,” the message concluded.
