The Indian foreign minister posted his message with a video compilation of important moments in recent years between the two countries such as high-level exchanges, development, economic and capacity building cooperation.
Images of meetings between Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as well as between Foreign Ministers Bruno Rodriguez and Jaishankar, appear in the video.
India and Cuba enjoy excellent bilateral relations and maintain close contacts with each other in international forums such as the United Nations, the World Trade Organization (WTO), among others.
India was one of the first countries to recognize the new Cuban government after the Triumph of the Revolution and from that moment a close bond grew between the two nations.
