Two hundred seven Venezuelans repatriated from Mexico

Caracas, Dec 30 (Prensa Latina) A total of 207 repatriated compatriots arrived in Venezuela today from Mexico, as part of the migration agreements agreed upon by presidents Nicolás Maduro and Andrés Manuel López Obrador, respectively.

The Conviasa aircraft arrived at the Simón Bolívar international airport, in Maiquetía, state of La Guaira, in the early hours of this Saturday on a “special flight,” the Minister for Transportation, Ramón Velásquez, published on the social network.

“Our wings of peace will continue to reach any destination where a Venezuelan is in need!” He indicated, and noted that the above was carried out on instructions from the head of state.

Since August 2018, the Government of Venezuela has maintained, through the Plan Vuelta a la Patria program, the orderly and safe return of its compatriots from abroad, of which some 40,000 have returned in recent years from various nations, mainly from Latin America and the Caribbean.

A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs notified last October that the Executive “will deploy the necessary resources” for the comprehensive care of its repatriated compatriots and the strict observation of the protection that the Constitution and the laws of the country enshrine for them.
