The Gaza director of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Middle East (UNRWA) Thomas White denounced in his X account that Israeli soldiers fired on an aid convoy as it returned from the northern region.
White highlighted that the route for the transfer was assigned by the Israeli military themselves. “Our international convoy leader and his team were not injured, but one vehicle was damaged. Humanitarian workers should never be a target,” he stressed.
This week, the official expressed concern on the same social network about the distribution of aid to Gazans as a result of the attacks and the fightings.
In its latest report on the situation in the coastal enclave, UNRWA revealed that Israeli troops have killed 142 of its members since the beginning, on October 7th, of the current cycle of violence.
