The PLO’s Department of Refugee Affairs pointed in a statement to the need to ensure the return of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in Palestine (Unrwa) to the north of the enclave.

It is necessary to stop the Israeli army, which practices all kinds of genocide, murder and destruction, it stressed.

The PLO also denounced the direct attacks on Unrwa centers and shelters.

The ministry on Saturday added that at least 201 Palestinians were killed and 368 injured in Israeli attacks on Friday and the early hours of Saturday. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) admitted on Sunday the death of eight soldiers in the last 24 hours, bringing to 152 the total number of deaths during the ground offensive against the Gaza Strip.

Israel considers the more than two million civilians in the Gaza Strip as enemies as part of its genocidal and ethnic cleansing policy, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates denounced today.

The Ministry accused Israel of ignoring the position of the UN and the international community.

The Israeli government sabotages any global effort to stop hostilities against our people, it said.

The UN Security Council passed a resolution on Friday calling on the immediate cessation of hostilities and for immediately speeding aid deliveries to hungry and desperate civilians in Gaza.
