The police seized 18.4 kilograms of the drug, packed in 17 bricks, in her luggage. According to her, she was promised 500,000 dollars for carrying the illicit drug.

The Uruguayan authorities assure that criminal organizations dedicated to drug trafficking are increasingly trying to use the national territory to transport drugs to Europe and Africa, both through the Carrasco airport and the port of Montevideo.
