It may not be as famous as its counterpart, but it is quite large and emblematic.
Built with wooden structures, it is actually a giant market where tourists from multiple nations get traditional souvenirs at the best price.
The complex showed up in Moscow in 2007, although the place for it, Izmailovo, has long played an important role in the culture of Russia.
The residence of the Romanov dynasty laid in here, and on the basis of drawings and sketches of the XVI and XVII centuries formed the architectural style of the complex.
The buildings were designed according to the customs of ancient Russian architecture. As befits a fortress, the facility is located on a hill, surrounded by a stone wall with entrance gates and towers of gleaming white boulders.
It is often called “the most Russian place in the capital.”
But the Izmailovo Kremlin is not only fortifications, for there are art galleries, a new craft market, workshops and numerous museums dedicated to cartoons, chocolate, weapons, uneducated children, the history of the Russian fleet, bread and vodka.
In addition, the compound houses a marriage palace, where couples get married in the traditional Russian style.
