This document contains an enormous amount of lies, fallacies and accusations directed at several countries, including Syria, whose people continue to suffer the consequences of terrorism supported by Washington itself and its allies, a Foreign Ministry statement denounced.

He denounced that successive US administrations use terrorism as a tool at the service of their political and military plans and objectives in the region and the world.

These governments have used the slogans of anti-terrorism, democracy and human rights to divide the world into axes and isolate countries and peoples and undermine their national options, the Ministry lashed out.

He indicated that, for more than ten years, Washington fueled the terrorist war against Syria, and financed and armed terrorist organizations and entities banned on the Security Council’s terrorism list, especially “Daesh” and “Al-Nusra Front¨, in addition to support terrorist and separatist militias.

He clarified that Damascus maintains its firm position adopted since 1986, which requires establishing a clear and specific definition of terrorism and avoiding any US-Israeli attempt to confuse this scourge with the right of peoples to resist foreign occupation and preserve their sovereignty, freedom and self-determination.

He concluded his statement by emphasizing that the cynical US support for Israeli terrorism is a blatant example of the hypocrisy of US administrations and institutions linked to the Zionist occupier.
