The Minister of the Secretariat of Social Communication, Paulo Pimenta, said after a ministerial meeting that 2023 was “a year of launches, and the next will be a year of deliveries.”
He noted that in 2024, Brazil will preside over the G20: “We have an important agenda, but the President wants to put his foot on the path, which he really likes to do.”
Pimienta emphasized that Lula wants to follow the deliveries, look closely at what is being done, and encouraged “the ministers to intensify the agendas in the states, not only in the capitals, but also in the interior of the country.”
The newspaper O Tempo reported that the President intends to devote himself to the delivery of programs and works outside the municipal election period, in the second half of next year.
“A calendar will be made. The objective is for the president to be present in all 27 states in the first half of next year. Also because we have municipal elections, and (in the second half) it is more difficult to make a municipal delivery agenda,” Minister of the Civil House Rui Costa said.
