Venezuelan Foreign Minister pays tribute to late Emir of Kuwait

Caracas, Dec 21 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil paid tribute to the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, according to social networks on Thursday.

A moment of “deep sadness” when signing the book of condolences for the departure, the senior diplomat wrote on his X account, formerly Twitter.

The head of Venezuelan diplomacy noted that “it has been an honor to pay tribute to a leader who left an indelible legacy.”

In a statement on Saturday, the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela joined in mourning over the physical departure of the Kuwaiti sheikh and acknowledged his important role in peace and stability in the Arab and Islamic world.

The Foreign Ministry highlighted the wisdom, generosity and socio-humanist vision of His Highness, who “worked tirelessly” for his people and so that peace, prosperity, stability and security prevailed in the Middle East.

It also noted that he brought balance and moderation to the rest of the world, and indicated that his departure will be a great loss for the international community.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela extended its condolences to the Al Sabah Royal family and the noble Kuwaiti people, and wished that “God bless His Highness in the paradise of the martyrs and the faithful.”

Venezuela greeted and conveyed to Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah its best wishes for his ascension to the throne, a responsibility that “we are sure you will hold with height and dedication for the benefit of your people”.
