Foreign Ministry Spokesman Wang Wenbin called on Kiev to “immediately correct its mistake and undo the negative effect.”
“Regarding the Ukrainian issue, China is always on the side of peace and justice,” the spokesman emphasized, reiterating his country’s position in favor of dialogue and consultation to resolve the conflict in that region.
The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption of Ukraine (NAPK, for its acronym in Ukrainian) added the China Railway Construction Corporation to its list of “international sponsors of war,” due to the firm’s cooperation with Russia.
In October, Ukraine included three major oil and gas companies from Russia on that list for the same reason.
At the time, the Chinese Foreign Ministry criticized the inclusion and called for its immediate removal.
The Foreign Ministry has repeatedly stated that regarding Ukraine, China is committed to mediating in favor of peace and promoting talks that will provide a political solution to the conflict.
“We are willing to work with all parties to continue playing a constructive role in promoting flexibility and cooling the situation,” the spokesman added.
