During the ceremony, it was informed that this project, conducted in two stages, required an investment of 93 million Bolivianos (over 13 million dollars).
Arce recalled that the works at the air terminal were advancing slowly, but after the rescue of democracy with his electoral victory in 2020, it was decided to speed up and conclude the reconstruction of the infrastructure, so now, Rurrenabaque “has a modern and dignified airport” of international category.
The facility has administrative offices, boarding and pre-boarding areas, security systems, traffic control tower, a firefighting unit with a modern vehicle, an ambulance, asphalt plant, computers, means of communication and furniture.
