In a message disclosed last night in his X account, formerly Twitter, the Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, pointed out that the people “participated massively” in a new electoral process, and “have sent a very clear signal towards the new times”.

The high diplomat pointed out that in Sunday’s gesture “the Chilean men and women clearly indicated” that the road to transformations has a great support in the original power, which will guide the future processes and will be crowned in popular victory.

The day before, for the second time in little more than a year, the majority of the people of that South American country rejected the proposal of the right-wing constitutional project, led by the extremist Republican Party.

The official data disclosed indicated that out of the 15.4 million voters summoned to these elections, 55,76 objected to the initiative of the new Constitution, while 44,24 voted for its approval, a difference of almost 12 points.
