The President of the Parliament Esteban Lazo and other authorities of the Government and the Party are also participating in the analysis of strategic issues for the country.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic and Minister of Economy and Planning, Alejandro Gil, informed the deputies on the estimated closing 2023 Plan and presented the objectives and goals of the 2024 Plan.

He denounced that the blockade continues to be the main obstacle for the international development of the economy of the Caribbean nation, added to the multidimensional international crisis and the macroeconomic challenges in the country.

Likewise, he detailed that the nation maintained a negative gap with respect to the economic levels reached before 2019, the year of reference, prior to the Covid-19 pandemic and the last restrictive measures imposed by the U.S. Government.
