The National Emergency System informed that at present more than 900 persons remain away due to the floods of the last weeks, especially of the Uruguay River.
The National Water Directorate of the Ministry of the Environment issued an alert for the flooding of the Cuareim river in the city of Rivera, on the border with Brazil.
The report of the Hydrology Area of the Salto Grande dam indicates that the inflow in the last 24 hours was 17,120 cubic meters per second.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian meteorological service Metsul issued a warning that foresees strong areas of instability in Uruguay from this morning and throughout Monday, with heavy rains and strong winds.
