Speaking to Al Mayadeen, Hamdan reaffirmed Hamas’s position of not negotiating before a ceasefire, and noted that all files are subject to discussion.
Hamdan emphasized that Israeli forces did not achieve any objectives in their attack on the Strip. He also highlighted the communication between the leaders of the movement and the leaders of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas.
Regarding this, he considered that recent statements by the US National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, revealed that the dispute between Israel and Washington is one of form and not content, since both want to continue the war in Gaza.
In regards to this, he stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he wants to assassinate Hamas leaders abroad, “but he must know that there is no crime without punishment.”
Hamdan also highlighted the presence of the Resistance axis in the battle and the effectiveness of the operations from Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen.
