The two-day meeting was preceded by a broad consultation of the documents to be discussed in more than 34,000 meetings with the participation of 750,000 persons.
Roberto Pérez, head of the PCC Organization Department, stated that the criteria presented point to the need to update, modify, and include new guidelines for the economic and social policy of the Party and the Revolution and the National Development Plan until 2030, to overcome the current difficult economic situation the country is facing.
The PCC’s plenary session will also analyze the political-ideological work following the ideas, concepts, and guidelines of the 8th PCC Congress held in April 2021.
The actions and compliance with the protocols established attending gender violence will also be assessed, as this is a social problem.
The PCC Central Committee Political Bureau will report on its work as in previous plenary sessions.
