On social media, the URCA pointed out that the Cuban Government recently published the National List of persons and institutions subject to criminal investigation and wanted by authorities due to their involvement in acts committed in Cuba and other states.
Also included are those who have perpetrated terrorist acts from 1999 to date.
The open legal cases include aggressions against hotels and other tourist facilities in Havana, violent actions, plans to attack the President of the Republic and public officials, and promoting military maneuvers.
The URCA supported the adopted resolution and demanded Cuba’s removal from the false and unilateral list of alleged nations that sponsor terrorism, in which it was included due to political reasons by the US Government who from its territory supports, directs, organizes, incites, and finances those who attack Cuba.
Our country has the right to continue in the way chosen on January 1, 1959. We call on the Cuban community abroad, the international community, intellectuals, writers, artists, and good organizations to join our demand against terrorism towards our homeland, the association concludes.
