In a statement on the occasion of Palestinian Teachers’ Day, the Ministry of Education of Palestine remembered the teachers who fell under Israeli bombs in Gaza and the dozens arrested in the West Bank.

It also criticized teachers’ daily exposure to attacks in the occupied territories.

The Ministry greeted the teachers in the Strip who continue to teach in the shelters and those in East Jerusalem, who teach their subjects based on the national curriculum, despite the prohibitions issued by the Israeli authorities.

The Ministry called on United Nations institutions to assume their responsibilities to protect Palestinian teachers from continued Israeli attacks.
