The accident occurred on the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho highway in Venezuela this Wednesday morning when a cargo truck crashed with vehicles parked in the area of a previous accident, Major General Carlos Pérez stated.

Pérez, who is also a Deputy Minister of Risk Management and Civil Protection, stated the vehicle involved in the crash violated the “safety device that was present in the previous event.”

The official wrote on his X account that the National Risk Management System went to the “multiple collision” and stressed the vehicle fire was “controlled and suffocated.”
