In an interview with the pan-Arab channel Al Mayadeen, the political figure stressed that everything related to negotiations on prisoners will happen after a comprehensive cease-fire in Gaza.
In this regard, Shaheen denied any information about current contacts on exchange of detainees.
He assured, on the contrary, that the Israeli forces are currently trying to retrieve their prisoners during the humanitarian truces and then resume attacks.
On this issue, Shaheen pointed out that the position of the Palestinian Resistance is clear, rejecting any negotiations under fire, and stressed the unified position to stop the killing of the Palestinian people.
“Negotiating and proposing humanitarian ceasefires in exchange for the release of prisoners is not on the table,” Shaheen added.
Shaheen also stated that the Palestinian brigades have adapted to the new confrontation scenarios and “the element of shock on the part of the Israeli occupation has lost its effect.”
Abu Shaheen acknowledged how difficulty the battle and the aggression are, “but victory will be achieved.”
Amid the ongoing fighting in the Gaza Strip, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, announced heavy armed clashes with Israeli uniformed personnel and the attack on two tanks with Tandum shells in the western axis of Jabalia.
