Receiving the Syrian chief executive, Raisi stressed the need to hasten the full implementation of the initialed agreements and understandings, and considered that Damascus and Tehran dispose of enormous potentials to expand cooperation in economic and commercial fields.
He criticized the hostility of the United States and “Israel” towards Damascus and considered that this is due to the resistance of this Arab nation and its victory over hostile plots and terrorism.
In turn, the prime minister stressed the interest of his country’s government in strengthening bilateral relations in various sectors, including tourism, banking, transportation, agriculture and industry. During the meetings of the 15th session of the Syrian-Iranian Joint High Commission held in Tehran, the Persian capital, the attachment to the Free Trade Agreement signed between the two countries in 2011 was subscribed.
They also put their signature to cooperation documents in the field of banking, archeology, museums, sports, among other spheres.
