Russian army defeats three Ukrainian brigades in Krasny Liman

Moscow, Dec 9 (Prensa Latina) Units of Russia’s Battlegroup Center defeated two brigades of the Ukrainian armed forces and a National Guard brigade in the Krasny Liman area, battlegroup spokesman Alexander Savchuk said.

“Troops from a motorized infantry formation, backed by artillery units, defeated an assault team of the Fifth Brigade of Ukraine’s National Guard in the Serebryansky Forestry area. Aircraft and artillery units hit troops and equipment of the 63rd and 67th mechanized brigades near Chervonaya Dibrova and Grigorovka. The enemy lost up to 290 troops,” Savchuk specified.

According to him, artillery units of the Central Military District also hit three Ukrainian strongholds and more than 30 artillery positions.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that over the past week the Russian Armed Forces improved the situation along the front line in the Yampolivka area and repulsed ten Ukrainian attacks on the Krasny Liman Front.

They also inflicted on the enemy more than 1,445 military casualties among killed and wounded, as well as the loss of 33 units of weapons and equipment.
