For more than a year, the band has offered concerts in their country with the aim of raising funds and medicines to donate to Cuba in their so-called “charity tour”.

As part of the initiative, Malasuerte also raised funds for the delivery of two advanced level ambulances and five basic level ambulances, as well as spare parts for the Cuban ambulance fleet.

The actions in Italy counted on the collaboration of the Agency for Economic and Cultural Exchange with Cuba, the Cuba Mambí Internationalist Action Group, other solidarity groups with Cuba and the Havana Embassy in Rome.

Their stay in this country since November 29, included the participation of the Italian group in the Chocolate con Café Festival, in the eastern city of Guantanamo; concerts at the Casa de la Amistad and the University of the Arts, both in this capital; as well as visits to the Havana Mental Health Center and educational complexes in Guantanamo.

Malasuerte Fi Sud is a Ska Core Punk Rock band, a genre that fuses Caribbean rhythms, founded in 1997 with the aim of showing in their music the popular anti-imperialist and social justice struggles.
