Local media reported that the missile hit a car carrying the victims in the city of Al-Baath, the provincial capital.
There has not yet been an official statement on the incident.
Last Tuesday, Syrian army air defense units acted to repel an Israeli missile attack in the province of Homs, located some 200 kilometers north of this capital.
Meanwhile, a similar missile attack, carried out on December 1, targeted points in the south of Damascus and caused the death of two Iranian officers and four irregulars of the militias allied to the Syrian army.
Likewise, on November 26, an aggression damaged facilities at Damascus International Airport and caused it to go out of service.
Israel has already carried out 47 attacks against Syrian territory this year and the country justifies these actions with the argument that they are against Iranian targets and those of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.
Meanwhile, Syria assures that these actions cause casualties among the civilian population, aim at prolonging the war, keeping this nation unstable and weakening its army.
The Foreign Ministry urged the UN Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities and put an end to these Israeli aggressions.
