Han expressed his condolences for the recent hurricane disaster that hit Mexico’s Pacific coast and confirmed the Chinese support in the reconstruction.

Barcena thanked China for always providing timely assistance to Mexico in the face of difficulties.

She added that the Mexican side highly values the initiatives put forward by the Chinese head of state and advocated the continued development of bilateral relations.

Previously, Bárcena, who is making her first official visit to China, spoke with her counterpart Wang Yi, with whom she reaffirmed the ties of friendship between the two governments and peoples.
