Teletica news program showed footage of the raid in Ochy’s residence in Guápiles, Limón province.
The OIJ also conducted two simultaneous raids in La Selva de Guácimo and Batán de Matina, where a farm with a packing plant recently purchased by Ochy was raided.
The report noted that the former Panamanian candidate, one of the 21 accused amid the hearing for money laundering in the New Business case, which included former President Ricardo Martinelli (2009-2014), had electoral jurisdiction at the time of the investigation on this case.
He could escape and did not appear in court.
A few months later, the court lifted immunity and gave the green light for the hearings. From that moment on, he was already a fugitive from the Panamanian justice.
According to the OIJ’s investigation, Ochy had lived in Costa Rica for 10 and 12 months.
