The event, which will be held in parallel to the 7th International Conference of Firefighters, will take place at the Havana-based Conference Center until Friday, December 8.

Issues such as the National Platform for the Management of Disaster Risk Reduction and the comprehensive preparedness of society to achieve a culture and effective management in handling disasters will be addressed during this Congress.

Natural, technological, and health disasters, information and communication technologies, and exceptional data infrastructures will be additionally under discussion.

Participants in the Congress will also deal with issues related to international cooperation and assistance, the fighting against extreme events, and introducing new technologies for disaster response.
