Iran and Cuba sign cooperation agreements and memorandums

Tehran, Dec 4 (Prensa Latina) Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi and his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Díaz-Canel, presided over the signing of more than six cooperation agreements and memorandums in agriculture, livestock, fisheries, mining, and energy.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and Iranian Vice President for Scientific and Technological Affairs Ruhollah Dehghani signed the first documents.

Iranian Minister of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare Seyyed Solat Mortazavi and Cuban Minister of Energy and Mines Vicente de la O Levy subscribed a memorandum of understanding on energy cooperation.

The joint action plan for cooperation in health and medical science went under the signature of Iranian Deputy Health Minister Heidar Mohammadi and Cuban Deputy Health Minister Tania Margarita Hernandez.

Alireza Biglari, director of the Pasteur Institute in Iran, and Vicente Guillermo Pérez, director general of the Finlay Vaccines Institute in Cuba, signed a contract for the transfer of knowledge on vaccines and a memorandum of understanding for strategic cooperation.

Biglari and Pérez also agreed on a contract for transferring knowledge in this field.
