The Russian Space Agency announced in a press release that the docking of the Progress 86 cargo spacecraft (also known as MS-25) was a success.
On November 29, the Progress MS-23 cargo ship undocked from the Poisk module to make way for the Progress MS-25, which is expected to stay in orbit for 179 days, Roscosmos pointed out.
Powered by a Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle, the Progress MS-25 transports more than 2,500 kilograms of cargo, including water, food, fuel, and equipment for scientific experiments and supplies, to ISS members.
Russian astronauts Oleg Kononenko, Nikolai Chub, and Konstantin Borisov, US Loral O’Hara and Jasmin Moghbeli, Danish Andreas Mogensen and Japanese Satoshi Furukawa are currently on the orbital platform.
