Among other issues, Sassou-N’Guesso and Gnassingbé debated peace and security in Africa, focusing on the agreements signed in 2020 on the exemption of diplomatic and service visas and the economic partnership between the autonomous ports of Pointe Noire and Lomé.
In the environmental field, both sides committed to fighting climate change and discussed aspects of the COP28.
The Congolese president wrote on his X account that he had the honor to exchange views with his brother and friend, the president of Togo, on issues of common interest.
