Hundreds of deaths and injured in Gaza Strip in a day due to Israel

Ramallah, Dec 2 (Prensa Latina) At least 200 Palestinians were murdered, and 589 injured in the last 24 hours following the resumption of the massive Israeli bombardments on the Gaza Strip, official sources denounced on Saturday.

Local health authorities updated the figure in their latest briefing on the situation in the coastal enclave, home to over 2.3 million people.

Since Friday evening until Saturday morning, the Israeli army intensified its bombardment on several densely populated areas in the Strip, including 400 targets.

Israeli forces launched violent attacks by land, sea and air since last night on the southern governorate of Khan Yunis, according to the official Wafa news agency.

During Israeli incursions, the Abdullah Azzam mosque was destroyed, located in the west of the city.

Nearby, four houses in Al-Qarara were razed to the ground and the mosques of Al-Istiqama, Osama bin Zaid and Othman were bombed as well.

Local sources reported that fighter jets dropped bombs on houses in the towns of Sheikh Nasr and Bani Suhaila, the fragments of which hit a school funded by the UN agency tasked with helping Palestinians.

In the central Gaza Strip, warplanes and warships attacked several areas of Deir al-Balah, Wafa news agency noted.

The towns of Al-Tawam, Sheikh Radwan, Jabalia and Beit Lahia were bombed too. Israeli Defense Forces reported that they attacked 400 targets in the Strip in the last 24 hours.

Since the onset of the aggression, on October 7, over 15,000 citizens have lost their lives there and another 37,000 have been wounded.
