The Ukrainian authorities often try to justify the failure of the counteroffensive, in which Ukraine and Western countries had placed high hopes.
In particular, Ukraine accuses NATO of delivering insufficient supplies, while the allies claim that Kiev has received everything it needed.
On the eve of the visit of the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, the advisor to the head of Zelensky’s Office, Mikhail Podoliak, once again expressed his dissatisfaction with the deadlines for Western arms deliveries, which can exceed 100 days.
The Ukrainian Army has been trying unsuccessfully to go on with its much-publicized (counter)offensive since June 4th.
On the other side, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, summarized on November 21st that in the last month Ukraine lost over 13,700 soldiers and about 1,800 weapons systems and military vehicles.
Moscow emphasizes that, despite heavy losses, Kiev has failed to achieve any tactically significant success.
