The Cuban diplomat and M. D. Lamawansa, Vice Chancellor of the Peradeniya University, talked about the progress of the bilateral educational relations, according to a release from the Cuban diplomatic mission in Colombo.
During the meeting held at the headquarters of the higher education institution, considered the most comprehensive university in Sri Lanka, González and Lamawansa addressed issues related to the University 2024 Congress to be held in Havana.
They also discussed possible exchanges with counterpart institutions in Cuba in the presence of C.N.R.A.M. Alles, Director of International Relations of the Peradeniya University, and Cuban Embassy’s First Secretary, Maribel Duarte.
The Cuban diplomat also visited the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, where its Director General, C P Jayaweera, received him and part of his team.
