In a statement released, the Foreign Ministry rejected the application of pre-trials and requests for the lifting of immunities, by judicial and political means, against magistrates of Guatemalan Supreme Electoral Court.

On Thursday, the Congress of the Republic of Guatemala approved to remove the immunity of Irma Palencia, Gabriel Aguilera, Rafael Rojas and Mynor Franco, for alleged irregularities in the acquisition of computer programs.

On Friday, Guatemalan immigration authorities confirmed three of them, Aguilera, Rojas and Franco, left the country without specifying their destination.
