At the ceremony on the World Day for the fight against HIV-AIDS, on December 1st, Inocêncio assured that around 310,000 Angolans live with AIDS, 35,000 of them are children aging zero to 14 years, the Angolan Press Agency referred.
Angola has stepped up efforts to expand the counseling and diagnostic services, which currently exceed 2,700 and reach the 18 domestic provinces; however, it is still not enough.
According to data provided by Inocêncio, 58% of Angolans living with HIV know their serological status and 49% of adults benefit from treatment with retroviral drugs.
