This forum will take place in the context of the activities for the 230th anniversary of the SEAP, and is organized by the Economic and Science Sections of that institution and the Center for the Study of the Cuban Economy (CEEC) of the University of Havana.
Karina Cruz, who will speak about “Inflation in Cuba: an approach to its causes”, and Anicia García, about “Food Security in Cuba: current policies and Challenges”, are both CEEC experts.
Humberto Blanco will speak about A Look at the State Business System, while Juan Triana will present his article: “Mas allá de la Trampa de la Coyuntura” (Beyond the Trap of the Juncture).
One of SEAP’s challenges is to cultivate even more of its history and its actions in two centuries and to occupy a greater space in the process of transformations that is developing in the nation and in community works.
Its social task includes mobilizing the scientific-technical community in accordance with the objectives set forth by the Cuban Revolution.
It also encourages the exchange and plural debate of opinions to form criteria on issues related to the promotion of education, science, culture, and environmental protection.
